People who played video games in the past were limited in the distance that they could sit from the screen as a cord linked the system to the controller. One solution to this problem was offered when remote handsets were developed that increased the distance from the system, and other features were added to the handsets, such as the rumble feature, to allow individuals to feel that they were more a part of the game. Individuals can feel that they are more a part of the game and increases the enjoyment of the activity by the ability to move.
The Nunchuck is an attachment that is needed for certain games and is attached to the Wii remote by a length of cord. The Nunchuck has a controller and buttons that the individual uses in one hand while the remote is being used in the other. The Wii remote is attached to the user's wrist through the use of a strap that loops around it, while the Nunchuck is shaped to fit nicely into the individual's hand. The two can be bought together for about fifty dollars, depending on where the individual shops. Using the Wii remote and Nunchuck together also increases the user experience.
When the individual makes a movement, the character on the screen also moves, mimicking the actions of the individual. Both the Wii remote and Nunchuck use the sensors that operate in conjunction with the sensor bar which has ten infrared LED lights which allow the remotes to place the individual's position and movement so that it works accordingly with the game. To hang onto while playing the various games Wii remote skins can be bought; they cover the remote in a rubber material so that it is easier to hold.
